Camacho Nicaraguan Barrel-Aged
After successfully ripening Corojo tobacco in Kentucky whiskey barrels and perfecting the ripening process, Camacho's master blenders continue their relentless pursuit and have traveled further south to discover the wild flavors of Nicaragua. Our Corojo, grown in Esteli, with its sweet, spicy and oaky flavor, characteristic of the tobacco of this region, is matured in some of Nicaragua's oldest rum casks. These barrels, once filled with whiskey, have been handpicked to ensure optimum moisture. They provide the complexity and a unique smoking experience. Roasted flavors combined with leather and oak are rounded off by the sweet aromas and caramel notes created by the ripe rum. This complex combination is enhanced by the proprietary Powerband™ bundling process for intense flavor development.
