The Cavalry Edition is a tribute to the horses and their riders who fought in the Mexican Revolution. Mexican horses are the result of a mixture of different breeds. Therefore, for this new line, Casa 1910 set out to blend tobaccos of different origins - Mexican and Nicaraguan - to create a cigar as unique and powerful as the horses that carried the revolutionaries to victory. These revolutionaries include the famous Pancho Villa, also known as the "Centaur of the North," a nickname due to his long time on horseback, and Emiliano Zapata, who always had a variety of horses at his disposal.
The Lucero Torpedo cigar is to honor the beloved Criollo mare "Siete Leguas" of Pancho Villa. Siete Leguas stood out because of a white spot between her eyes, known as “Lucero”, a bright star. This superb equine was beautiful, and strong as no other. Unlike the other horses of Pancho Villa, this mare was able to endure long journeys without interruption. Due to her loyalty, nobility, and determination, Siete Leguas took part in the revolutionary’s greatest feats. There are many legends and songs about this iconic mare.
An Ecuadorian leaf wraps around a Mexican Negro San Andrés binder. The mixture is complemented by various Nicaraguan filler tobaccos.
Taste-wise, the Lucero Torpedo convinces with notes of coffee, earth, nutmeg, cedar and pepper.
