Gilbert de Montsalvat Anniversary Gran Robusto

The author Thomas Brunnschweiler created the character of Gilbert de Montsalvat in the story “The Pope of Geneva” in 1999. When Raymondo Bernasconi, owner of The Royal Cigar Company, read the story on a cloudy Sunday, he was initially quite depressed. The hero of the story could neither smell nor taste anything. But maybe that was exactly the message: trust your own judgment, don't listen to cigar popes!

On April 1, 2008, the Gilbert de Montsalvat brand was officially launched. The stories by and about Gilbert always have an ironic wink and therefore stand out from texts used in advertising for other brands.

The Gilbert anniversary cigar is the regular line and is identical to the 10 years anniversary which was available in limited boxes for the 10th anniversary of Gilbert de Montsalvat.

This cigar is dominated by intense roasted aromas paired with nuances of slightly sweet bitter almonds. Subtle cocoa notes and traces of dried fruits underline the harmonious blend of the Gilbert anniversary.
