The Davidoff Nicaragua 10th Anniversary Limited Edition celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Davidoff Black Band Collection. Davidoff released the first cigar with the black band in 2013. These cigars contained tobaccos from the Nicaraguan region for the first time, instead of the usual Dominican tobacco leaves. The idea behind this was to expand their portfolio of cigars and keep up with the competition, which at that time had a lot of success with Nicaraguan cigars.
The cigar combines an Ecuadorian wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The special thing about this cigar is the filler leaf is fermented in a whiskey barrel, which gives the cigar a pleasant finish. The age of the processed tobacco leaves combines to 45 years.
The Davidoff Nicaragua 10th Anniversary Limited Edition spoils aficionados with a full-bodied and intense taste adventure. At the beginning, the Gran Toro starts with complex nut aromas, which are soon complemented by fresh spices and leather. As it progresses, intense aromas of oak, latte and eucalyptus draw attention. Notes of black coffee and those of fresh herbs join the roasted flavours towards the end of the cigar.
