Davidoff Year of the Dragon

For the twelfth year in a row, Davidoff is launching a limited edition to celebrate the Chinese New Year. With this cigar, Davidoff completes the zodiac cycle for the first time, which began with the snake in 2013. The dragon is the largest and most important sign of the entire zodiac calendar. Davidoff portrays this in the impressively large format of the Double Corona cigar.


The limited edition Double Corona consists of 8 different types of tobacco from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico and Ecuador, which together are 60 years old. The cigar also has an uncut foot, which means that a good 2 cm are enjoyed at the beginning without the wrapper. This is known in the world of cigars as a shaggy foot.


The uncut foot of the cigar brings notes of earth, wood and herbs. As soon as the wrapper takes over, the taste changes to rich aromas of nuts, cream and licorice. As the cigar progresses, white pepper and citrus notes are added. Towards the end of the cigar, dark chocolate dominates the woody undertone.
