Flor de Copan cigars are traditionally made by hand at "La Flor de Copán Honduras S.A." in Honduras. The tobacco factory is located in the west of the country close to the border of El Salvador and Guatemala in the town of Santa Rosa de Copán. The cigars produced there are the legacy of the centuries-old Honduran cigar-making tradition, which dates back as far as the Mayan civilization.
The subtle blend of tobacco from the three growing regions of Copán, El Paraiso and Santa Barbara in the binder and filler, together with a wrapper from Ecuador and further filler tobacco from Nicaragua, gives Flor de Copan cigars a rich, full and powerful flavor that does not affect the strength.
The classic cigars of this brand are mildly spicy, with a fine creaminess, exciting nutty aromas and a delicate sweetness. Each individual cigar (with the exception of the Gordito) is also wrapped in thin cedar wood, which further emphasizes the aroma of the cigar during longer-term storage.
Flor de Copan cigars are also very suitable for beginners.
