Leaf by Oscar cigars are made by Oscar Valladares Tobaccos in Honduras in a small factory that produces only very small numbers per year which makes it possible to process raw tobacco of much higher quality than is possible in large manufacturers with millions of cigars. There are many premium cigars that are wrapped in cellophane, paper, or cedar wood. Oscar Valladares wraps every single cigar in a beautiful wrapper. This not only protects the excellently manufactured premium cigar, but also enhances every process step, from fermentation to storage, all of which with the aim to further refine the aroma and make it more complex. Exceptionally beautiful wrapper leaves are used for Leaf by Oscar, the veins of which seem to be barely visible and the surface appears as silky as a Connecticut shade, although the Corojo and Maduro lines use rather thick leaves with a strong aroma. The Leaf Maduro is a full-bodied premium cigar whose aroma combines smoky toast notes with the sweetness of the Maduro wrapper. The aroma is accompanied by pepper and subtle chocolate notes.
