The Tatuaje Nuevitas Jibaro is rolled by My Father Cigars under the watchful eye of Don Pepin Garcia in Nicaragua. This full-bodied Puro has a coffee brown, slightly shimmering wrapper, which deliberately ends shortly above the end of the cigar and makes the underlying binder visible, a reminiscence of an old, barely practiced tradition. The Jibaro No. 1 is a well-made cigar with strong, peppery notes, such as wood and earth. After the first 1-2cm the woody notes change to licorice. The Tatuaje Nuevitas Jibaro comes in minimalist branded boxes of 10, which is the signature of Pete Johnson's iconic brand. Jibaro is a Puerto Rican term for farmers who use traditional methods of land management.
